Introducing Guy & Girl About the World

Some of you may have seen our European adventure post from last year, and perhaps you've also seen us traveling around, welllll, all over, and pretty much any chance we get. We love it because we have an open eye to the world and the people in it. We love it because it inspires us as designers, and because, I promise you, anything great we've ever done with an event has been because we spotted something inspiring on a trip somewhere...sometimes in the smallest of ways.

With that, I am pleased to announce that we'll be documenting our travels more often. We've been consulting our clients on their honeymoons now for quite some time, advising on where to go and where you absolutely must eat, sleep, drink, explore, etc. We've gotten to know places like New Orleans, Nashville, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, LA, Mexico, Chicago, Riviera Maya, Tulum, Traverse City, France and Italy pretty well this past year (don't feel sorry for us).

The next 3 months is taking us to Vancouver BC, Seattle, Bay Harbor, Mackinac, Vegas, London, France, Santorini, Mykonos, and Istanbul. It is our hope that writing about our travels will serve to both inspire and educate our clients on their options for honeymooning - from 5 star restaurants to hole in the wall mom and pop dining, and from the most well-designed airbnbs to the super cheap (for now) boutique hotel you had no idea existed...

What's even cooler, we're able to combine our love for events AND our love for travel as we tackle the destination wedding side of our business with full force, too. 2016 is taking us to some really wonderful places already, and we can't wait to share more about it with you. Expect quite a bit of venue tours throughout Michigan, California and beyond (geez, I'm really setting myself up for some lofty goals with this post, aren't I?).

Like events, traveling is an experience. You can have a really great one, or you can have a really bad one - and it's 100% about the prep and the planning. So if our travels can serve to inspire us both, that's a win in our book. If nothing else, it's a sneak peek inside our lives, both personally and professionally.

So come along as two people in love take on the world...
